Russian mobile operator Vimpelcom, working under the Beeline brand, has taken the lead in terms of LTE coverage in the city of Moscow, according to a study from DMTel, Telecompaper.com reports on Dec 10, 2014. The operator\'s LTE network is accessible in 98.5 percent of the area in the capital city. The operator has deployed numerous LTE base stations in various locations in Moscow and in Balashikha, Odintsovo, Mytishchi, Domodedovo, Korolyov, Podolsk and other agglomerations in the Moscow region over the past four months. Around 2,000 3G base stations have been optimized.
