Vodafone Romania launched a new 4G tablet under its own brand, reports Telecompaper.com on July 1, 2015. Called Vodafone Tab Prime, the tablet has a 9.6-inch screen and is ideal for end-users who want to surf the web or access multimedia content from wherever they are. Powered by Android Lollipop, the tablet uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon Quad-Core processor 1.2 Ghz, 1GB RAM, and internal memory of 16 GB that can be expanded to up to 32GB through microSD card. The Vodafone Tab Prime 6 is available to new and existing customers with 4G mobile Internet subscriptions on monthly installments that are passed onto the Vodafone invoices. The tablet can be acquired with no advance with a subscription for the Smart Net 10 tariff plan (EUR 10 per month, VAT included) for two years plus a monthly installment of EUR 6 ($6.63).
Additionally, subscribers have access to a collection of over 2,000 hours of movies, series and documentaries via HBO Go and music via the Zonga app, included in any mobile Internet tariff plan for a period of up to 24 months. With the launch of the new tablet, the operator's portfolio of phones and tablets under its own brand reached 10 mobile devices, of which seven are mobile phones and three are tablets.
