Movistar Mexico (Telefonica) has announced the launch of 4G services in the city of Saltillo in the northern state of Coahuila, reports Telecompaper.com on July 14, 2015. The operator said the 4G network will cover the centre of the city, as well as areas such as Arteaga and Ramos Arizpe, and Saltillo International Airport.

Movistar first launched 4G services in Mexico City last September and is offering a range of plans with unlimited calls and SMS, data of 0.5 to 3.0 GB per month and Spotify Premium access. The company said it expects to offer LTE services in 300 cities across Mexico by the end of 2015.
