Vodafone has again topped Spain’s 4G speed rankings in the latest update published by OpenSignal. The company offered an average download speed of 35.3 Mbps in the September to November period, just ahead of Movistar with 33.7 Mbps, followed by Orange and Yoigo with 28.0 Mbps and 25.6 Mbps respectively. Vodafone also led the field in terms of 4G coverage, with testers accessing signals around 86.5 percent of the time, compared to 85.2 percent for Yoigo, 84.3 percent for Orange and 81.0 percent for Movistar.
The report said all four companies had significantly boosted 4G availability since the previous July update when no operator in Spain was able to offer an LTE connection more than 80 percent of the time. In fact, Masmovil subsidiary Yoigo saw its availability score increase by nearly 15 percentage points over the period.
