Overview

1.The R&S®CMW-PQA is the test platform for mobile phone to base station testing using different standards consists of the R&S®CMW500 wideband radio communication tester, which simulates a mobile network including fading conditions for the RF signal. This includes 3CC Carrier Aggregation down link as well as 2CC Carrier Aggregation uplink. CMW-PQA can be extened to Video Quality Testing. In the R&S Video Quality Testing Solution the analysis of the video degradation is carried out by utilizing internationally known objective metric, in order to come up with measurement results correlating with the subjective perception of video quality on human eyes. • Cost efficiency A flexible and modular test solution is required to cover all test areas and provide a cost-efficient solution. Re-usability of hardware for the test areas are the key to provide an overall test solution which serves testing of performance, protocol and IMS. The setup is highly modular. Depending on the test purpose, additional hardware and software can be quickly and easily added to cover test areas like audio quality testing. 2.Network operators, test houses and manufacturers of user equipment can measure a smartphone’s video application performance under real life conditions in an easy way in the lab. For example the biggest US network operators and corresponding test labs decided for the R&S Video Quality Testing solution in order verify a smartphone’s performance before permitting it for operation in their own networks. Test plans have been designed for new test disciplines and those are basis for the test plan
