Russian mobile operator Megafon has started providing LTE services to Tuva republic, reported Telecompaper.com on July 15, 2014. The operator deployed 400 km of fiber-optic lines over the permafrost, making it the first operator to offer LTE in Tuva. The services are available in the city of Kyzyl at up to 100 Mbps.
