SFR to add LTE to Red 3 GB plans on 5 August
French operator SFR announced on Twitter that its Red 3 GB subscription, which costs EUR 19.99 per month, will support 4G LTE as of August 5, Telecompaper.com reported on July 20, 2014. At present, only customers on Red 5 GB plans (EUR 25.99) have access to the LTE network. Both subscriptions include unlimited national calls and SMS/MMS, and are sold without a phone. According to telecom regulator Arcep, SFR covers 30 percent of the population with LTE, less than the networks of France\'s other three MNOs. It has agreed to share Bouygues Telecom\'s network, but the deal is under review.
