Russian mobile operator Vimpelcom, working under the Beeline brand, has launched its LTE network in the Samara region, according to Telecompaper.com on July 22, 2014. Services are now accessible in the city of Samara and agglomerations that surround it including Volzhskiy, Kryazh, Mekhzavod, Upravlencheskiy, Petra-Dubrava and Stroykeramika. The operator\'s LTE network also covers the railway station, the Volga River port and the Kurumoch airport using the 2,600 MHz band. The network provides speeds of up to 70 Mbps with an average speed of 40 to 50 Mbps. The operator has opted to cover the most densely populated areas in Samara.
