Colombian mobile telephone operator Movistar currently provides 4G LTE services in 42 cities in 16 departments across the country, Telecompaper.com reported on July 22, 2014. Movistar Colombia plans to cover 58 major cities with LTE by July, as well as increase coverage to 313 municipalities by 2018. The operator is fully owned by Spanish telecoms operator Telefonica.
