Beeline expands LTE coverage in Moscow
Russian mobile operator Vimpelcom, working under the Beeline brand, has raised the number of LTE base stations by 1,000 in the city of Moscow in Q2, Telecompaper.com reported on July 29, 2014. Some 95 percent of the city\'s area was covered by the LTE network in April, when Beeline operated 800 LTE base stations in the city. The amount of LTE base stations grew by 30 percent in Q1, after Beeline launched its LTE services in Moscow in December 2013. Part of the 1,800 LTE base stations are currently in testing. Beeline also launched it LTE services in Moscow suburbs a month ago.
