Deutsche Telekom will present its new Magenta Mobil smartphone tariff portfolio at the IFA trade fair in Berlin from 05 to 10 September, reported Telecompaper.com on Aug 28, 2014. The range will replace the T-Mobile Complete Comfort packages and Complete Premium services. The Magenta range will start from EUR 29.95 per month and will provide unlimited phone calls and texts to any German fixed or mobile network, and inclusive mobile internet via EDGE, DC-HSPA and LTE. VoIP is now permitted in every tariff. The minimum contract period is two years and there is a EUR 29.95 activation fee.

The cheapest tariff, Magenta Mobil S, costs EUR 29.95 for just the SIM. The unthrottled internet allowance is 500 MB, with the top speed being 16 Mbps for downloads and 2 Mbps for uploads. For customers wanting a phone, too, the subscription is EUR 39.95 for a lower range handset, rising to EUR 49.95 for a top-end one.

The next stage up is the Magenta Mobil M, which costs EUR 39.95 for just the SIM. With a budget smartphone, this rises to EUR 49.95 and with a higher specs, it increases to EUR 59.95, With this service, the unthrottled mobile web allowance is 1.5 GB and the service provides a top speed of up to 50 Mbps for downloads and 5 Mbps for uploads.
