4G Americas expects 40 LTE-Advanced networks by end-2014
4G Americas expects to see 40 or more commercial LTE-Advanced networks globally by the end of this year, Telecompaper.com reported on Sept 11. According to 4G Americas, LTE-Advanced is now commercial on 20 networks in 15 countries including AT&T and Sprint in the US. Other countries with commercial LTE-Advanced networks include France, South Korea, Japan, Netherlands, Estonia, Australia, Czech Republic, Portugal, Russia and Singapore, among others. 4G Americas is an industry trade organization composed of telecommunications service providers and manufacturers.
