Spanish mobile operator Yoigo has signed an agreement to provide mobile network services, including 4G, to Open Cable Telecomunicaciones, a grouping of 47 of Spain’s local cable operators, but Open Cable sources told Europa Press that they are still waiting for the Spanish telecoms regulator, CNMC, to allow Yoigo to offer 4G wholesale services to MVNOs. This follows a conflict with Telefonica over a Yoigo deal with Pepephone, where CNMC’s delay in the Yoigo wholesale services offer led to Pepephone abandoning its deal with Yoigo, in favor of Telefonica.
