The Global Technology Association of Infocom (GTI) is pleased to be a 3GPP Market Representation Partner (MRP), following the decision at the 3GPP Organizational Partners (OP) Meeting #56. Given its contributions and impact since inception in 2011, its current mission and workplan, and its strong community, GTI will continue to be well-positioned to help advance mobile connected intelligence, and to influence the future global standards for the good of societies and industries. As an MRP, GTI will participate in 3GPP Project Coordination Group (PCG) meetings.

With clear objectives of promoting and driving collaborations and value creation, GTI has been actively focusing on enhancing cross-organizational cooperation, integration and promotion of digital intelligent technologies towards vertical industries’ transformation, creation of innovative business models and cost-effective solutions, and acceleration of 5G-and-beyond monetization, with clear emphasis on Mobile AI and building the path to 6G. These are delivered by a strong community platform of partners, with a vibrant and dynamic program to collaborate, exchange, contribute and communicate, fostering innovations and bridging the gaps towards the stated objectives.

The GTI global community includes hundreds of members from service providers, vertical industries, vendors, OEMS, and solution providers, to researchers and academia, consultants, analysts, and others. Furthermore, its broader community includes a growing number of partnerships with global SDOs, alliances and organisations, and collaborations with the broad ecosystem of industries, research, standardization, and governance. This provides GTI with the strength and resources, scope and focus, and relevant substance and energy, to contribute, advise, and bring3GPP a collective and comprehensive view of market requirements, with respect to services, functionalities, gaps, and features, in a highly collaborative culture, and directly related to the work being undertaken by 3GPP.

About 3GPP

The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) unites seven telecommunications standard development organizations (ARIB, ATIS, CCSA, ETSI, TSDSI, TTA, TTC), known as “Organizational Partners” providing their members with a stable environment to produce the Reports and Specifications that define 3GPP technologies. 3GPP specifications cover cellular telecommunications technologies, including radio access, core network and service capabilities, which provide a complete system description for mobile telecommunications. The 3GPP specifications also provide hooks for non-radio access to the core network, and for interworking with non-3GPP networks.
