2012 Japan-China TDD Forum/GTI Ad Hoc Seminar kicked off in Tokyo
2012 Japan-China TDD Forum/GIT Ad Hoc Seminar was held in Tokyo from April 25 to 26, 2012. This Seminar was jointly hosted by GTI, TDIA, and XGP Forum, aiming to strengthen the cooperation between China and Japan in the commercialization of TD-LTE and its compatible technologies. More than 190 participants from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan, China Mobile, SoftBank, GTI, TDIA, XGP Forum, and other global communication and consumer electronics enterprises attended this two-day session.
At the 2012 Japan-China TDD Forum held in the morning of April 25th, attendees shared perspectives of the Chinese and Japanese governments on policy support to the TDD industry, its development trend, and the market demand and development plans for TD-LTE.
Mr. Sha Yuejia, Vice President of China Mobile, introduced China Mobile’s plans for accelerating the development of TD-LTE in China in his speech, and he said “With these actions, we need our industry partners present here today to further accelerate the development of products, especially TDD/FDD converged devices which can enable global roaming, and different types of consumer electronics which use TD-LTE functions to further satisfy daily customer demand”.
