Background:
During the MWC Barcelona 2023, the GSMA officially released the Open Gateway initiative plan, aiming to provide a universal access interface to facilitate developers and cloud service providers to access the operator's network more quickly, enhance and deploy related services. Currently, many operators are conducting a large number of explorations and practices, expecting to lead the development of the communication industry through capability opening. 5G New Calling, as a symbolic business upgrade of basic communication, has attracted global attention from the communication industry. China Mobile, as the originator of the 5G New Calling business concept, has released several innovative 5G New Calling applications since 2023, providing a reference for the evolution of global operators' calling services. It also leads the establishment of the GSMA 5G New Calling Task Force to promote global new calling standards and industry cooperation. The next step is to build a business innovation capability base, to promote the evolution of 5G New Calling business through capability opening, and to continuously advance function iteration to enhance business capabilities and optimize experience perception.
Tasks:
1.Systematic research and practice of 5G New Calling capability opening system.
Expected Outcomes:
1.Plan outcomes: A series of plans for 5G New Calling capability opening platform includes but not limited to platform function design, system architecture design, function implementation design, equipment and interface design, etc.;
2.R&D outcomes: 5G New Calling capability opening platform. Provide a capability portal to implement a series of capabilities of the 5G New Calling capability opening workshop, such as capability calling, capability introduction, developer services, application testing, etc.;
3.Application practice outcomes: Based on the above capability opening platform, through the capability invocation and capability introduction functions, combined with AI capabilities, incubating 5G new call innovative AI applications, and promoting the recognition of 5G new call capability opening in industry organizations and industry.

About the GTI 5G-A x AI Open Development Program
In Feb 2024 at MWC Barcelona, GTI launched the 5G-A×AI Development Program to promote the integrated innovation of 5G and AI in technology, business, ecology, and commerce, and two-way empowerment. Therefore, 5G is smarter and AI is more ubiquitous, which will support the goals of GTI 3.0. First, Build Open Labs to provide basic environment, equipment facilities, industry application scenarios and other resources for 5G-AxAI integration innovation, and carry out the R&D, testing and demonstration of new technologies and solutions.
