Mr. Kazuyuki Yoshimura, CTO of KDDI, believes that the future society expects to achieve economic advancement with the resolution of social problems by a system that highly integrates cyberspace and physical space suing various technologies such as IoT, AI, 5G, and Beyond 5G.

KDDI thinks network technologies such as 5G and Beyond 5G are needed but insufficient. It is because Platform layer is also important, which will be created together with partners to handle various kinds of data conveyed by networks. In addition, Business layer is essential, because it brings new services and solutions on top of Platform layer. KDDI Accelerate 5.0 mentions facilitation of seven technologies,further converge CPS as in Society 5.0. The seven technologies include not only wired and wireless network technologies but also security, IoT, platform, AI, as well as cross reality (XR) and robotics, which provide feedbacks to Physical space.
