As connected-car has become one of the most inspiring area enabled by cellular network, the GTI 5GAA (5G Automotive Association) signed a MoU during the GTI Summit 2017 held on 28th Feb.jointly announced a statement for Cellular-V2X (C-V2X) industry development promoting a unified standard, innovativeconverged ecosystem.
Cellular-V2X (C-V2X) would provide improved performance, support multiple business modelsoffer an evolution path from LTE to 5G to fit increasing V2X requirements. By the statement, telecomautomotive sectors will work closely on C-V2X use casesscenarios, solutionstrials, standardizationspectrum, business modelgo-to-market strategies to achieve the success of thriving C-V2X marketcreate a new era of Internet of vehicles.
Christoph Voigt, Chairman of the 5GAA board said, “5GAA was created to connect telecom industryvehicle manufacturerswork closely together to develop end-to-end solutions for future mobilitytransportation services. We look forward to working with GTIthe other relevant organizations to create a successful C-V2X ecosystem”.
