Energy Transitions Commission (ETC)

Mr. Adair Turner, Chair of Energy Transitions Commission (ETC) remarked that the future is electric. It's believed that total electricity use will go from 27,000 terawatt hours globally today to somewhere between 70,000 and 90,000 terawatt hours electricity in direct use by 2050. Therefore, we need to make great use of information technology to control electricity.  It is also important to apply digital technology to balance supply and demand in this deeply electrified world.
