Guidelines for GTI Awards 2021
These guidelines are to state the purposedetails of the awards, the process of application,an approximate timeline for the award cycle. It is very important that you read through the guidelines carefully to ensure an eligible application.
Purpose
The GTI Awards program aims to acknowledge achievementssuccess of industry players in 4G evolution5G development across a wide range of market segments.
In the year of 2020, GTI focused on 4G Evolution, 5G eMBB, 5G Enterprise Network Solutions (5G ENS)Innovative BusinessServices. Therefore, GTI Awards 2021 intends to recognize outstanding contributions in these areasencourage the development of innovative products, solutionsapplications that address challenges faced by GTI operators,honorable contribution to the industrythe GTI.
Categories, EligibilityCriteria
GTI Awards 2021 has four categories: Innovative Breakthrough in Mobile Technology Award, Innovative Mobile ServiceApplication Award, Market Development AwardHonorary Award.
- Category 1: Innovative Breakthrough in Mobile Technology Award (For GTI Partner Forum members)
This award is for vendors providing network infrastructure, devices, chipsets, modules,test systems supporting 4G evolution, 5G commercialization5G ENS. To be eligible for this award, products must have been commercially launched,will be launchedunveiled specifically beforeat the GTI Summit on Feb. 23rd, 2021 in Shanghai, China.
Innovative Breakthrough in Mobile Technology Award entries are judged on aspects including the extent of meeting GTI operators needs, innovativeness, advantages, market potential, sustainability, impacts onleverage of technology.
- Category 2: Innovative Mobile ServiceApplication Award (For GTI OperatorsPartner Forum members)
This award is for operatorsvendors providing innovative mobile services, applicationssolutions enabled by 4G evolution, 5G commercialization5G ENS technologies for consumersverticals. To be eligible for this award, servicesapplications must have been implemented in trialcommercially launched beforeat the GTI Summit on Feb. 23rd, 2021 in Shanghai, China.
Innovative Mobile ServiceApplication Award entries are judged on aspects including innovativeness, advantages, maturity of business model,its sustainabilitypotentiality.
- Category 3: Market Development Award (For GTI operatorsPartner Forum members)
Market Development Award is for operatorsvendors that make outstanding contributions to 4G evolution, 5G commercialization5G ENS. Only GTI operatorsGTI Partner Forum members are eligible for this award. Deadline for approved membership status is set to 31st December, 2020.
Market Development Award entries are judged on aspects including, contribution to the establishment of 4G/5G ecosystem, promotion of 4G/5G adoption, leverage of trialcommercial network.
- Category 4: Honorary Award (For GTI operatorsPartner Forum members)
GTI Honorary Award is for the individuals, groupscompanies whose technicalmarketing efforts have brought significant credit to the industrythe GTI. Only GTI operatorsGTI Partner Forum members are eligible for this award. Deadline for approved membership status is set to 31st December, 2020.
GTI Honorary Award entries acknowledge the company, groupindividual who has made significant contributionheld a major leadership role in 4G evolution, 5G commercialization5G ENS, marketing promotionthe GTI work in 2020 either regionallyglobally.
Process of ApplicationTimelines
GTI Awards program has an open application process:
1. GTI Secretariat announces that the GTI Awards 2021 is open for application.
2. Applicants complete the application form,return it to the GTI Secretariat (admin@gtigroup.org) before the deadline: 14th Dec., 2020. Other supporting materials may also be attached with the application form.
3. GTI Secretariat assesses the applications based on the criteriamakes a recommendation report to GTI Steering Committee for approval.
4. GTI Awards will be presented in February, 2021.
