Mrs. Chen Lan, President & CEO of DOCOMO Beijing Labs, said 5G is the most important piece in helping to realize digital transformation. By upgrading user experience, enabling innovative services,improving productivity, digital transformation will contribute to the solutions of social issuesnew value creation. She shared DOCOMO’s 5G status from three perspectives including number of subscribers, coverage area expansion,practice on service creations. By March 2024, 80% of population coverage rate is expected to be achieved. She also made proposals on how to address the pain point issues. At last, Mrs. Chen noted that DOCOMO is further exploring possibilities in 5G to realize the digitalization of industries, new customer-relationwork-style reform,investigating 6GIOWN technologies for the further realization of a wellbeing society.
