Huawei, STC jointly launch LTE TDD service in Saudi Arabia
Telecommunications firm Huawei and Saudi Telecom Company (STC) have jointly announced the launch of an LTE TDD service in Saudi Arabia. The new network covers two major regions in the country, including the cities of Riyadh and Dammam, and is capable of downlink speeds of up to 100 Mbps.
Huawei has provided STC with its radio access network SingleRAN technology, its convergent core network SingleEPC product, its E398 LTE TDD/FDD dual-mode commercial USB dongle, and its E392 LTE TDD/FDD/GSM/UMTS/CDMA multi-mode USB dongle.
