Datang Mobile builts TD-LTE trial in Taiwan
Datang Mobile built a TD-LTE trial where some eNBs were deployed in TaiChung and Hsinchu in August 2013. The trial network covered ShiZheng West Road, Liming Road, MaLong-tan Road, HeNan Road, Highway part in TaiChung and Building 11, Building 51 of ITRI in Hsinchu. Datang Mobile\'s partners are ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute) and Vee Telecom in Taiwan.
This trial has two phases. In the first phase, some services were demonstrated, among which the most important presentation was the telepresence in the Fifth Cross-Strait Communications Industrial Cooperation & Exchange Conference. The telepresence showed the TD-LTE service interaction in three locations of TaiChung, Beijing and Fuzhou, with TD-LTE smart phones, CPEs and PADs. Another important presentation was in the mobile vehicle. The VOD, online games and video surveillance could be experienced and the picture was clear and smooth through the coverage of the TD-LTE.

In the second phase, this network will be used to test the TD-LTE\'s terminals from the device vendors in TaiWan, in order to promote terminal maturation and lower terminal development costs. We expect more terminal manufacturers join this test network and provide more terminals for users. Meanwhile, Vee Telcom will also test TD-LTE performance for the purpose of Wimax transformation to TD-LTE.
