Following its recent commercial 5G network launch, Gambian operator QCell is promising users of compatible mobile or fixed devices 5G data speeds ‘from 10Mbps to 100Mbps’.

In advertising posts on its Facebook social media page, QCell highlights new 5G fixed device internet packages under the ‘Rocket’ banner and is marketing QCell-branded 5G Mi-Fi routers and 5G Indoor CPE fixed modem devices, whilst also encouraging users with an existing compatible mobile or fixed device to register at a QCell service centre to access the 5G network.

As previously reported by TeleGeography’s CommsUpdate QCell launched the country’s first 5G network earlier this month, initially with coverage limited to five selected locations in the Greater Banjul Area.
