Czech telecoms regulator the Czech Telecommunication Office (Cesky telekomunikacni urad, CTU) has published a feasibility study on the granting of nationwide IMT/5G rights in the 6425MHz-7125MHz (Upper-6GHz) band.
The study, which it notes is based on information available in May 2023, reportedly examines ‘the conditions for the implementation of IMT/5G in the event that a binding European harmonisation regulation on the Upper-6GHz band for IMT/5G applications is adopted’.
In a press release the CTU noted: ‘Different scenarios for the release of the band from existing users in the fixed radiocommunications service have been analysed takingaccount technical, time, economic and legal aspects’. The study (in Czech only) can be found here.
