Mobile operator Tele2 Estonia announced that it has won an auction for 800 MHz band frequencies. The new spectrum will help the operator expand its LTE network to cover the entire country in the first half of this year.

To date, Tele2 has focused on providing LTE services in cities and towns at the highest speed. The rest of the country\'s area will be covered using the new band. The operator has already built a significant number of sites that will work using the 800 MHz band. Estonia\'s other mobile operators, EMT and Elisa, earlier acquired spectrum in the 800 MHz band. In the latest auction, Starman also participated in the bidding.
