Nokia Solutions and Networks CEO Rajeev Suri met with Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang in Beijing and pledged to help China position itself as a world innovation hub. During talks that took place on 9 January, the two parties discussed the need for greater Europe-China cooperation on innovation and for further collaboration between NSN and China\'s telecom industry.

NSN emphasized its expertise in TD technology and noted that its TD-LTE global R&D headquarters in China was a clear example of its continuing investment in R&D to help position China as a global hub for innovation. NSN company added that, as a world leader in commercialising TD-LTE systems, it was poised to become the number one foreign player in China\'s telecom network industry.

The company was the foreign vendor last year with the largest market share in China Mobile\'s TD-LTE tender and was selected for the first time as an LTE partner by China Telecom. NSN is currently working with China Unicom on the operator\'s LTE tender.
