APT eyeing 4Q-14 for LTE commercial service start date
Taiwan\'s mobile network operator Asia Pacific Telecom (APT), which gained 4G-suitable spectrum at Taiwan\'s frequency auction, in October 2013, wants to open commercial services in the fourth quarter of this year, TeleGeography reported. It is understood that APT will put TwD4.13 billion ($136 million) into base station procurement and infrastructure and expectes to build around 3,000 4G base stations in the initial phase of the network.
