Belgium’s mobile operator Base has started a 4G network in Brussels, with its LTE now available in Anderlecht, Auderghem, St-Agatha Berchem, Brussels, Evere, Ganshoren, Jette, Koekelberg, Woluwe St Lambert, and Woluwe St Pierre, Telecompaper.com reports.

Rollout of 4G was delayed in Brussels, compared with the rest of the country, because of its more severe emissions norms. The operator provides 4G tariff plans for all devices in more than 650 cities, villages and communes, including 10 Brussels communes, covering 56 percent of the Belgian population.
