Beeline initiates LTE in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk
Russian mobile operator Vimpelcom, working under the Beeline brand, has started commercial services on its LTE network in the city of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Telecompaper.com reports, noting that this is the first LTE network of the operator in the Far-East federal district.
The network works in the 2,600 MHz band and covers most of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, including its suburbs Novoaleksandrovsk and Sinegorsk, where users can access network at up to 73 Mbps. Subscribers can access LTE services by acquiring a uSim card, which is offered free in shops of the operator.
