A total of 120 municipalities in Brazil had 4G coverage by the end of July, compared to 119 by the end of the previous month and 81 by the end 2013, according to local consultancy firm Teleco. Mobile operator Vivo had a presence in 98 municipalities with its 4G offering, followed by Claro, with 4G services in 91 localities across Brazil. Both TIM and Oi had a presence in 45 localities by the end of July. By the end of July, the operators\' 4G coverage reached 38.7 percent of the country\'s overall population, up from 38.5 percent by the end of June and 31.9 percent by the end of 2013.
