Bolivian state-run telecoms operator Entel has deployed a total of 42 mobile base stations in Pando department, reports Telecompaper.com on Sept 25, 2014, citing company regional manager Enrique Yañez. In 2008, when the telco was nationalized by the government of President Evo Morales, the operator had 5 mobile base stations in Pando, according to the report. The executive also said that Entel aims to expand its fiber optic network and launch 4G LTE technology in Pando in the near future.
