Russian mobile operator Vimpelcom, working under the Beeline brand, continues the upgrade of its telecommunications infrastructure in the southeast of Tatarstan republic, Telecompaper.com tells us on Sept 29, 2014. LTE services are expected to launch in the city of Naberezhnye-Chelny soon. The amount of GSM and 3G base stations was raised by 6 percent by the operator in the Trans-Kama region in the republic this year. All base stations have been transferred to IP technologies in Naberezhnye-Chelny, Yelabuga, Nizhnekamsk, Almetyevsk, Leninogorsk and Bugulma, and HSPA+ technology was introduced on the 3G network there.
