Russian regional mobile operator Motiv has started a test-drive of its LTE services in the city of Nizhny-Tagil in the Yekaterinburg region, Telecompaper.com reports on Oct 8, 2014. Customers are being offered SIMs that supports LTE for free in all Motiv branded shops in the city. Motiv is offering 1 GB of daily mobile internet traffic to all users participating in the pilot. The speed drops to 64 kbps after exceeding the ceiling. The services are being provided over the 1,800 MHz band.
