ETB aims to attract 5 mln mobile subs in five years
Colombian telecoms operator ETB expects to attract 5 million mobile telephony subscribers within the next five years, reports Telecompaper.com on Oct 8, 2014. This figure will represent a market share of nearly 10 percent. ETB has recently launched 4G LTE services in Colombia. The operators plans to offer LTE coverage in 45 municipalities across the country, Kattan said. The service was launched through spectrum in the AWS band. With this launch, ETB will become the country\'s fourth mobile telephony operator. Colombia\'s current mobile operators are Tigo, Movistar and Claro. ETB, which is majority, owned by Bogota\'s municipal government, offers fixed telephony, data and internet services.
