Vodafone Australia has expanded its 4G+ network (also known as 4GX or LTE Advanced), using 850MHz spectrum, to Melbourne, Telecompaper.com reports on Nov 17. 2014. 678 new 4G+ sites are now live in Victoria, with another 71 to be switched on over the next six weeks. Vodafone prepares to expand its 4G coverage to 95 percent of Australia\'s metropolitan population by year-end. There are approximately nearly 2 million devices connected around Australia to the Vodafone 4G network. Vodafone says most of its customers\' existing 4G devices are already compatible with the new 4G+ coverage.
