Kazakhstan operator Altel, a subsidiary of national operator Kazakhtelecom, has stopped providing 3G services under the Jet sub-brand in the cities of Satpayev, Zhanaozen, Kentau and Turkestan, Telecompaper.com reports on Nov 24, 2014. Services were stopped after the launch of a GSM/UMTS/LTE network there. Subscribers can replace their 3G modems with LTE modems for a KZT 550 promotional rate.
