The Government of China has released “Broadband China" strategy and implementation plan, which predicted that by 2020, broadband networks will cover all urban and rural areas. User penetration of 3G/4G will reach 85% and mobile networks will be widely deployed in all respects. Therefore, China has begun to speed up the development of 4G industry, and launched prospective studies about the technologies and standards of 5G. Besides, China has applied all the 190MHz spectrums of 2.6GHzthe deployment of TDD, after the utilization of 40MHz of 1.9GHz, 15MHz of 2.0GHz and 100MHz of 2.3GHz. What’s more, China is planning to apply 20MHz of 1.4GHz to wireless Broadband Digital Trunking Private Network System which is based on the TD-LTE technology for government affairs.

In the end of his speech, Mr. Mao called for speeding up the unified allocation of TD-LTE spectrum, facilitating the future development of global roaming and industry chain and accelerating the promotion of the cooperation in 5G area. He also demonstrates that countries in the world should strengthen the collaboration and confront the challenge of telecommunication industry in the future.
