TDD & FDD Carrier Aggregation
- Carrier Aggregation: TDD Carrier Aggregation in single technology(TDD)doubles available capacity and throughput
• DL/UL traffic split in STC network can fit well with 3:1 TDD config.
• TDD Convergence doubles the available capacity.
- Carrier Aggregation: FDD——Carrier Aggregation in single technology (FDD) does not provide extra utilization efficiency
• FDD uplink traffic is approx. 11%, in STC network.
- Carrier Aggregation: TDD & FDD Convergence——Using FDD Uplink for part of TDD uplink to increase the DL ration of TDD and increase the efficiency of FDD uplink
• TDD & FDD CA provides better utilization than FD only CA. FDD & TDD CA is the most efficient way of utilizing the available spectrum.
• With TDD & FDD Carrier Aggregation, the whole spectrum range can be better utilized to supplement coverage and capacity advantages.
- Carrier Aggregation: TDD & FDD Trial——STC and Nokia carried out a successful (first in the world) TDD & FDD CA demonstration, providing up to 260 Mbps downlink speed
