Release assignment for 2.3 GHz

Representatives from YTL, GSA, Nokia, expanded the discussion in this panel and summarized the following opinions:

- At present, more than 60 countries have released 2.3GHz licenses and there are 16 2.3GHz TD-LTE commercial networks from China, Australia, Saudi Arabia, India, Russia, South Africa and Oman etc.

- Among 2.3GHz commercial operators, 90% of them own more than 30 MHz of 2.3GHz, some of whom even have more than 50MHz or full-band of 2.3GHz. It is believed that there will be more operators using 2.3GHz to deploy TD-LTE.

- Although some counties have already deployed part of 2.3GHz spectrum to military radar, for the spectrum which is not available within a short time, LSA technology (spectrums access sharing technology) is recommended to gain more spectrums for IMTavoid the interference with the radar system.

At the end of this workshop, Madam Huang Yuhong, secretary-general of GTI, made a conclusion speech. She expressed that as the most efficient and economical solution of Mobile Internet, TD-LTE industry has realized a phenomenal growth, and a global large-scale deployment. She advocated that regulators of all countries should make high efficient, unified and continuous allocation of TDD spectrums as soon as possible in face of mobile data exploding and spectrum scarcity, and construct high speed 4G global networks together.
