Digital Twin City
Today, digital twin technology has been utilized as an effective tool for smart city planning and management by public organizations. By integrating advanced technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, Artificial Intelligent, and cloud computing, as well as real-time data, digital twin can create a virtual, living mirrors of their physical counterparts, achieve comprehensive perception and intelligent management of various urban facilities, systems, and services.

By integrating advanced technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, Artificial Intelligent, and cloud computing, as well as real-time data, digital twin can create a virtual, living mirrors of their physical counterparts, achieve comprehensive perception and intelligent management of various urban facilities, systems, and services.


The current mainstream trends in digital twin city are gradually developing towards efficient construction, diversified perception, instant virtual-real interaction, and intelligent operation. Digital twin city can be roughly dividedtwo categories: visual interaction and governance decision-making:


Visual interaction: for scenarios with the needs of real-life browsing, roaming, and interactive, for example: tourism and entertainment, exhibition demonstrations, education and training, etc., focusing on visualization and virtual-real space interaction functions.




  • Decision-making support: for scenarios with the needs of data integration analysis, and decision-making support, for example: resource planning and management such as transportation, water conservancy, power grid, logistics, etc., focusing on multi-data perception, simulation, and intelligent analysis functions.






To realize the virtual-real symbiosis, virtual-real integration, interaction, and intelligence of the future digital twin city, the following three aspects need to be improved: efficient city construction, dynamic real-time presentation, and multi-dimensional information perception. Based on 6G technology and infrastructure such as computing power network, combined with multi-dimensional perception platform of visual network, we will build the city model layer and city information layer to create a digital twin city platform and product applications.
