Antel, Uruguay\'s government-owned telecommunications company, has chosen Aicent, a supplier of data network services and solutions for mobile operators, to operate its LTE network connectivity with more than 55 other operators worldwide, TeleGrography.com reports.

Antel says the deal will make it possible to offer LTE roaming connectivity between LTE networks in Latin America and the Caribbean, and give mobile subscribers uninterrupted roaming access to an increasingly large network of 4G operators, bringing great convenience to travelers between Uruguay and other countries.
