Taiwan\'s telecom service provider Chunghwa Telecom has chosen Ericsson as its consulting and systems integrator for an online charging system (OCS) and policy and charging-rules function (PCRF), LteWorld reports.

The new business support systems (BSS) environment supported by Ericsson that serves existing and LTE prepaid and postpaid subscribers is a single integrated online charging and policy control solution.

Ericsson points out that its solution will allow existing operator\'s and LTE customers to have real-time control of their service usage and account balance, and many more offerings with the right quality of service (QoS) and enhanced user experience. It adds that it has more than 280 charging and billing customers worldwide.
