Ericsson completes five-state LTE expansion for US Cellular
Ericsson, a Swedish provider of communications technology and services, reports that it has implemented a 4G LTE network expansion for US Cellular and its partner, King Street Wireless, Telegeography reports.
As part of US Cellular’s third phase of LTE network rollouts, the expansion covers cities in five states, including Madison, Wisconsin; Portland, Maine; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and markets in New Hampshire and North Carolina.
In the rollout, the Swedish technology giant provided a 4G access network including eNodeB LTE base stations based on the Ericsson RBS 6000 multi-standard and expanded network capacity.
