Sprint extends Sprint Spark and HD Voice to new markets
Sprint has announced that its Sprint Spark and HD Voice are now available to customers in Salt Lake City and Jacksonville, Florida, Telecompaper reports. Sprint\'s new LTE network now covers 382 markets, including new markets in Detroit; Rochester, New York; Manchester, New Hampshire; and Winston-Salem, North Carolina. It expects to cover 250 million people with LTE by the middle of this year.
Sprint Spark delivers peak wireless speeds of 60 Mbps on capable devices, with potential speeds reaching up to three times as fast by late 2015.
Customers in Salt Lake City and Jacksonville can now also experience HD Voice, a new Sprint standard for mobile phones where background noise is virtually eliminated and sound quality is improved.
