Armenian mobile operator VivaCell has significantly extended the coverage of its LTE network, launching services in Gyumri, Vanadzor, Dilizhan and Tsakhnadzor, Telecompaper reports. The rollout also covered the city of Yerevan.

LTE was previously available in downtown Yerevan only, but it now covers around 33 percent of the population, with network speeds reaching up to 60 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload. Some 70 percent of the area of Yerevan, 80 percent of Dilizhan, and parts of Gyumri, Vanadzor and Tsakhnadzor are on the 4G network. The network expansion included the deployment of 200 LTE eNodeB base stations.
