LTE networks were deployed in 50 regions in Russia in 2013, reports Digit.ru citing a statement from the LTU Union industry group. Over 10,500 LTE base stations were built. This includes 2,337 base stations in the 791-862 MHz band and 8,165 base stations in the 2,530-2,570 MHz and 2,640-2,680 MHz bands. All operators with LTE licenses complied with licensing requirements on network roll-out. Operators MTS, Beeline, Rostelecom, Megafon, Vainakh Telecom and Tattelecom hold LTE licenses.
