KMI applies for mobile license again
Korea Mobile Internet (KMI), a consortium of several MVNOs, has applied for a mobile license again and is hoping to start services in October 2015. KMI plans to launch LTE-TDD services in 85 major cities initially and then expand coverage to the entire country by January 2016, Telecompaper reports quoting Yonhap. This is the sixth time that KMI has lodged an application as its previous applications were rejected due to a range of technical and financial problems.
