Google has announced that it is teaming up with the Luxottica Group, owner of the Ray-Ban and Oakley brands, to develop and distribute new versions of Glass, techradar.com reports, quoting the Wall Street Journal, with the Glass team explaining on Google+ that Luxottica\'s ability to conceive of "great products" fits with Google\'s own mission for the connected eyewear. Luxottica\'s manufacturing know-how and retail and wholesale channels were also cited as a way to make Glass more widely available.
