PLDT invests PHP 2 billion to roll out TD-LTE network
Philippines Long Distance Telephone (PLDT) has so far invested 2 billion pesos ($44.8 million) to deploy TD-LTE across the country, Telecompaper.com reports.
PLDT said that it is using LTE-FDD for its mobile networks and TD-LTE technology for fixed wireless broadband services. Both services use separate frequency bands. The operator also said that it is working to deploy additional TD-LTE base stations this year to reach remote areas of the country.
